Adam McQuaid doesn't fight all too often but when he does it's usually a spectacle. Rarely do you see a player fight with such hate as McQuaid does on a consistent basis. Most players fight to defend their teammate or swing momentum but McQuaid always gives the impression that he fights to knock your head off it's block. It's gotten to the point where I half-think that McQuaid solely plays hockey because it's a legal way to fight people. Anyways, earlier in tonight's game McQuaid jumped on Raffi Torres, who has a history of cheap shots, after he threw a shoulder into Andrew Ference's head on a chase for the puck. McQuaid wasted no time in pummeling his smaller opponent and kept going until the referees tore the two apart. As you can see, McQuaid did a good job of painting Torres' face to match his sweater. What a nice guy that McQuaid is, huh?

Should Raffi Torres Be Disciplined for His High Hit on Andrew Ference?

Raffi Torres Deserves Suspension for Latest Cheap Shot, Just Don't Expect Him to Learn From It

Adam McQuaid put a beating on Raffi Torres, but not even the powerful right hand of the Bruins defenseman could beat any sense into the reckless Phoenix forward. On Wednesday, Torres delivered a dirty hit to the head of Bruins blueliner Andrew Ference late in the first period of Boston's 2-1 overtime win. Torres was given an elbowing minor on the play, but his real punishment...

Raffi Torres Takes Out Jan Hejda With Second Head Shot in As Many Nights (Video)

Apparently Raffi Torres didn't learn his lesson. Just one night after Adam McQuaid turned him into a bloody mess after he took out Andrew Ference with a high elbow, Torres landed his second cheap, high hit against the Avalanche when he took out Jan Hejda. Hejda, who was falling to the ice after dishing out a long pass in his zone, took Torres' elbow right to the temple, as...

Adam McQuaid Bloodies Raffi Torres After Coming to Defense of Andrew Ference

Adam McQuaid is no stranger to coming to the defense of his teammates. But his beatdown on Wednesday night was one of the Bruins defenseman's more impressive victories. Coyotes forward Raffi Torres delivered a questionable shoulder/elbow to Andrew Ference's chin as the two raced for the puck in the Boston zone. In typical Bruins fashion, McQuaid came to Ference's defense...
