BOSTON – The Bruins began the night down a defenseman with Dennis Seidenberg sidelined with a leg infection. They lost another key defender before the first period ended. With six minutes left in the opening frame, Adam McQuaid went back to retrieve a puck behind the Boston net and was hit hard into the boards by Washington forward Jason Chimera.
