The loss was the second straight for the Admirals after they earned points in six consecutive games to begin he year. Texas winger Tomas Vincour broke a 3-3 tie with just 3:35 to play with a cannon of a slapshot that got by Ads netminder Jeremy Smith. The Ads jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when rookie defenseman Ryan Ellis unloaded on a slap shot from the top of the right circle just 2:23 into the game.
