Milwaukee, WI—Chris Mueller had a hand in each of the Admirals goals, finishing the night with a goal and three assists, as Milwaukee took a 4-2 win over the Chicago Wolves Friday night in an Amtrak Rivalry Game and the home opener for the Ads. The win was also the first home victory for new head coach Kirk Muller.
The Admirals got on the board first with a power-play goal by Juuso Puustinen just 2:54 into the game. Mueller controlled on the goal line and then fed the puck backdoor through the slot to Puustinen for a one-timer and 1-0 Admirals lead.
Another power-play marker at the 13:01 mark of the opening period put the Ads up 2-0. Ryan Thang crashed the net in a scrum and just pushed the puck over the Chicago goal line.
