Hershey Bear fans have been wondering just how likely it would be to go after a repeat Calder Cup trophy in 2010. A big part of that success could be the potential resigning of free agent Alexandre Giroux.That is now compete.Giroux was the biggest part of the Hershey Bears success in 2009. Giroux set an AHL record scoring a whopping 60 regular season goals. But even more so, Giroux added 15 playoff goals for a total tally of 75 goals. Amazing. "For our organization, for our fans and for this region, we could not be happier that he (Giroux) chose to return next season." Bears president/GM Doug Yingst said.The bigger question is, will Giroux get any playing time in Washington. He was called up a few games last season, but at least in the writer's opinion, simply did not show the aggressiveness and scoring prowess he has displayed frequently and consistently throughout his AHL career.
