Oilers beat Flames 3-1
I have some good news, and some bad news. The good news is that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is two goals closer to competing for the Calder Trophy, Jordan Eberle continues to prove that he is a superstar and of course the Oilers won. The bad news, that Taylor Hall is concussed and could not play the entire game. At this point, the Oilers will have to look at shutting Hall down for the remainder of the season.

Edmonton Oilers star left wing Taylor Hall suffered a concussion during Friday's 3-1 victory over the Calgary Flames.
Hall lost an edge and was hit by Calgary defenseman Cory Sarich just over a minute into the game. The 20-year-old Hall, who did not return to the contest, will be re-evaluated on Saturday.

Jordan Eberle had a goal and two assists for the Oilers, who won their second in a row.
Mark Giordano had the lone goal for the Flames, who remained in a tie for ninth place in the Western Conference with San Jose, a point behind...
The Oilers spanked the Calgary Flames on Friday, and so they should. Perhaps the only Flames player who showed up was defenseman Cory Sarich, who ran just about every Oiler at some point. His hit against Taylor Hall knocked the young star out of the game, and he's been diagnosed with a concussion. Not good news. In fairness to Sarich, there was nothing dirty about his hit on...
It is always unfortunate to see injuries but it seems certain players are becoming repeat visitors to the injury wire on a more frequent basis. The latest obviously was Taylor Hall, who suffered a concussion according to Coach Tom Renney. Ascertaining any timetable for a return would just be unwise and premature at this time but safe to say Hall is out at...
