Thanks to two goals against the Nashville Predators on Saturday night, Alexander Steen is now tied for the most goals scored in the NHL. His mark of 10 goals matches Washington's Alexander Ovechkin. It's worth noting that Steen has scored 10 times in just nine games while it has taken Ovechkin 11 games to reach the same total.
Steen now has 15 points on the year which place him tied for third (again with Ovechkin) most points in the NHL, trailing only Sidney Crosby (18) and Henrik Sedin (16).

His 10 goals exceed the total he had in 40 games last season (eight) and put him on pace to shatter his career-high of 24 in a season. He's also well on his way to besting his career-high of points (51) which he set in 2010-11.
Steen's pace will slow. This point is so obvious it's kind of redundant writing it, but he is currently shooting at a success rate of 38...
