The Bruins are headed to the Cup finals after a 1-0 win. Pens had unlimited chances late but couldn't cash in. One of the more disappointing series losses in a long time. The Penguins managed just two goals against Tuukka Rask. Hard to even type that sentence. Unreal. :(

Tuukka Rask Answers Closeout Questions With Dominant Performance Against Penguins

BOSTON — We can stop with those silly questions now when it comes to Tuukka Rask. Facing arguably the best offense in hockey today, Rask turned in perhaps the greatest four-game stretch of his life with another shutout win in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final. In the process, Rask hopefully quieted some of the nay-sayers when it comes to his ability to close out a series....

Tuukka Rask on message to Bruins before Game 4: “I don’t remember. I don’t listen.”

After the Bruins sweep of the Penguins, NBC analyst Pierre McGuire asked Tuukka Rask about the message from B’s coach Claude Julien before Friday night’s Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Boston. Tuukka responded with a gem of an answer: “I don’t remember. I don’t listen.” Well, keep on not listening, Tuukka. It’s clearly working. The Bruins goalie finished...

Tuukka Rask Leading Bruins’ Incredible Penalty-Killing Efforts Against High-Powered Penguins

BOSTON — The Pittsburgh Penguins entered the Eastern Conference Finals having scored on 28.3 percent of their power plays. Or, to put it another way, they were scoring more than one power-play goal for every four power plays they were awarded. That’s not bad, right? So it would obviously be a monumental task for the Bruins to try and slow down that vaunted unit in the conference...

Tuukka Rask’s Incredible ‘Double Drama’ Effort Leads Bruins to Victory, Pushes Penguins to Brink (Video)

Goodness. That was exciting. The Bruins pulled out an improbable, incredible double-overtime victory over the Penguins in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals, pushing Pittsburgh to the brink of elimination. Patrice Bergeron knocked in the game-winner, but it wouldn’t have been possible without some incredible saves (and a little luck) by Tuukka Rask. Two U’s, two K’s and...

The Boston Bruins Are The 2013 Eastern Conference Champions

Your 2013 Eastern Conference Champion Boston Bruins What a strange year it has been for the NHL and our beloved Boston Bruins. This season has been quite a roller coaster ride, especially so in the regular season. We saw flashes of brilliance, and a significant amount of mediocrity too. There was always that thought of the Bruins hitting the “second gear” to really turn their...

Greatest Show on Earth. BRUINS WIN!

After Game 2 the NBC dumbass crew said the Bruins "stole" the game. A 6-1 victory is not stealing a game. It is a beat down. The Bruins stole Game 3. The Penguins out played the Bruins for the majority of the game. The Penguins team we expected to see to start the series finally showed up. Vokoun played his balls off. Zdeno the goalie

When the Pittsburgh Penguins mounted a furious attempt to tie their eventual 1-0 loss to the Boston Bruins in the game's final minute, Zdeno Chara made what was a remarkable "save" to help Tuukka Rask preserve his shutout--making a save with his hand and amazingly not fully closing his hand on the puck--and he got a kick in the head as a reward for his efforts:

Tracking the Playoffs: Penguins vs. Bruins Game 3

Despite throwing 54 on Boston's goal, 29 of them being scoring chances, the Penguins could only get one past goaltender Tuukka Rask last night and that predictably was not enough to win them the game as the Bruins defeated them 2-1 in overtime. The loss puts Pittsburgh in a 3-0 hole and on the brink of elimination in the series. The Pens have no one but themselves to blame for...
