Sidney Crosby is sometimes accused of whining, diving, and tampering with officials being given the benefit of the doubt by NHL officials. The fact of the matter is the 25-year-old Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native is the NHL’s most prized asset and he gets treated as such. If he uses that to his advantage it frustrates the heck out of opposing fan bases, but it gets him and the Penguins points and in the end that is all that matters to him. Crosby’s reputation as a manipulator may be well deserved, but it is his reputation as a softie that is unwarranted. Crosby is as strong on his skates as anyone else in the league, his talent is mesmerizing, and as much as it may hurt to admit this, he is also one tough son of a gun. Need proof? Consider the absolute horrifying details of Crosby’s jaw injury. In a game against the New York Islanders on March 30th, a Brooks Orpik shot found its way right into Crosby’s mouth. It left him in a bloody heap and kept him out of the Penguin lineup for ...

Bruins Frustrate Sidney Crosby As Penguins Captain Struggles in Bruins’ Game 1 Win

Sidney Crosby is the most talented hockey player in the world. He does things with the puck on his stick that few hockey players have ever been able to do. On Saturday night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, however, Crosby looked average at best. The Bruins did a fantastic job of bottling Crosby up, and the Penguins captain was a virtual non-factor in Boston’s convincing...

Crosby’s smile on display in the Eastern Conference Final, and it ain’t pretty

The Globe and Mail's James Mirtle reports that Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, who will face the Boston Bruins without protection for his still-healing broken jaw, suffered an absolutely brutally vicious injury when he blocked Brooks Orpik's shot with his teeth, and he's going to face much more off-season dental work to restore his smile: Roughly 10 of...

Sidney Crosby Humor

I might as well get it started...

For once, I agree with Sidney Crosby: the NHL’s lack of a standard of playoff officiating is dumb

This may be one of the few times a Red Wings fan agrees with Sidney Crosby. I know this isn't Red Wings-related per se, but I've been outspoken in my criticism of the lack of a standard of officiating--for any and all of the NHL's teams and playoff teams to have to operate within since the trade deadline--and I'm baffled by the amount of cheap shots, interference...

Fitting Penguins Humor; Sidney Crosby crying about the officiating already

Haha this is funny @jroadsreal @goon48… — gretchen berg (@bergcar5) June 2, 2013 Someone put this on twitter last night, I know it's old but it fits with the current Pittsburgh Penguins, especially with Sidney Crosby whining about the officiating after last night's game. Apparently, Sid bad mustache and all didn't watch the game between...

CBC's "Sid-Cam" is one of the craziest things you'll ever see

Currently, during Game One of the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins, on, a "Sid-Cam" is being streamed. Basically, for the entire game, there is a camera on Sidney Crosby. Even when he's on the bench and during commercial breaks. Poor Crosby. Has no privacy. The only thing missing is if they followed the Penguins captain into the dressing room during period...

The Sidney Crosby Flopping Supercut

Earlier this week we brought you over three minutes of LeBron James flopping, and today we have the Sidney Crosby flop compilation. Two-Headed Monster is Too Much For Teams by @MadChad412

The Pittsburgh Penguins are rolling through the 2012-2013 NHL playoffs by skill and scoring a lot of goals. Mainly, the Pens are thriving thanks to their two superstars, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, also known as the "Two-headed monster".  Cliche as this post is, bear with me, as I show just how truly special these two guys are, and how the Pittsburgh Penguins entire...

What they are saying about Game 1 in Boston

It's always fun to see what the other side is saying, especially when that "other side," is Boston. Here is a roundup of blogs, newspapers, and some site call Masshole Sports that is the worst.   The overall theme of this is Tuukka Rask played the game of his life, Crosby is a baby, and Boston has complete control of everything.   Days of...

Bruins Put Chill On Penguins, Grab 1-0 Series Lead

The Pittsburgh Penguins have Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, James Neal, Jerome Iginla, Kris Letang and a host of offensive roll players who scored at almost a five goal a game clip in the playoffs.  They are supposed to be an offensive juggernaut that blows through opponents on the way to meeting Chicago for the cup. The Boston Bruins have Tuukka Rask.  That's plenty good...

Watch: Top prospects primed for draft

(Canadian Press/Getty Images) The Nashville Predators will be selecting fourth overall in the 2013 NHL Draft. Their pick will all depend on who the top three players select on draft day. Nashville could draft Seth Jones, Nathan MacKinnon, Jonathan Drouin, Aleksander Barkov or Elias Lindholm. We can only find out on June 30. Despite losing the Memorial Cup, Seth...

The Eastern Conference Finals Drinking Game

As we wait in anticipation for the Eastern Conference Finals to start, we're "treated" to a history lession of these two teams by reporters, commentators, and the unwashed masses on social media.  Granted, there is quite a bit of history there, both old and recent.  Only problem is, it's already been shoved in our faces so much that the only way to deal with it...
