Mac is back in St. Louis, finally. The St. Louis Blues activated their veteran forward from injury reserve this morning, clearing the path for him to play tonight against the San Jose Sharks. Andy McDonald has missed 51 games after suffering a concussion mid-way through the second period on October 13th against the Dallas Stars. He had registered two assists in his three games. Injuries have always been a problem for Andy Mac in his time as a Blue, but when he is on the ice he has been nothing short of productive. In 58 games last year he tallied 20 goals and 30 assists. That’s the kind of production that would deem a deadline trade for scoring unnecessary. With the offense improved- three goals in each of the last three games- and Mac back it is even more reason for The Note to stay the course. Welcome back Andy and here is hoping Alex Steen, Jason Arnott, Matt D’Agostini, Kris Russell and Kent Huskins follow suit.
