The Los Angeles Kings continued their improbable playoff run Thursday night with a 2-1 win over the Phoenix Coyotes. The Kings now lead the Western Conference Finals series 3-0 and are an incredible 11-1 in the playoffs.

While Los Angeles has mostly dominated the series to this point, Game 3 was the closest of the contests so far. In fact, the Coyotes took a 1-0 lead Thursday night when Daymond Langkow beat Kings goalie Jonathan Quick just 1:03 into the second period.

But the Kings answered right back, as Anze Kopitar scored a gorgeous breakaway goal off a long pass from Dustin Brown.

In the video after the jump, you’ll see Kopitar get behind Phoenix’s defense, before busting out a few quick dekes and sliding the puck between goalie Mike Smith’s pads. It was gorgeous stick-work and a fantastic finish from one of the NHL’s most underrated players.

Perhaps the best part of the video is the reaction of Phoenix head coach Dave Tippet at the 23-second mark. If you are good at reading lips and are easily offended, you might want to skip past that.

The Kings got a third period goal from rookie Dwight King to take a 2-1 lead and were able to shut down the Coyotes’ offense and control possession for much of the final frame.

Game 4 is Sunday at 3 p.m. ET at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
