Thursday night’s 3-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers saw Jimmy Howard earn his 2nd shutout of the season as the Wings continue to limit the oppositions scoring especially over the first two periods. In fact over the last five games the Wings have allowed just five regulation goals going 3-1-1 during that span. All this too is being done without veteran defenseman Ian White who last night was a healthy scratch for the fifth straight game. And with the blue line continuing to get healthy (Carlo Colaiacovo should be making his return soon) are the Wings lining themselves up to deal the UFA-to-be come the trade deadline? That may not be the case… yet.
