Please read Thursday’s paper and online editions for what I think is a really cool piece on childhood teammates Erik Johnson and Peter Mueller of the Avalanche. Did you know those Bloomington-raised boys met around age 5 and began playing hockey together at age 10, and won the Minnesota peewee A (ages 11-12) state championship together for Bloomington Jefferson in 2001? Bloomington Jefferson went 54-2-2 that year, according to Johnson, and won the state-title game 12-0.
