According to Andrew Gross, head coach John Tortorella has confirmed that forward Sean Avery will be in the lineup for tomorrow's game against the Montreal Canadiens with Wojtek Wolski (groin) sitting out for sure. This will be Avery's first game of the season since he was only recalled from the Connecticut Whale of the AHL on Monday.
Mike Rupp, meanwhile, will be undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery next week and a timetable for his return will be established then. Rupp was hoping not to have to go through with surgery as that will likely prolong his return.
The Rangers have made no other personnel changes as of yet.
Also worth noting that Tortorella mentioned that Marc Staal has made no progress and is status quo, as we've expected for a while now. His exact wording was "indefinite", which is the best way to describe the situation.
