Per the request of John Tortorella Sean Avery <a title="Avery "excited"" href="http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=598600" target="_blank">is back in the Big Apple. It’s good to hear those two are friends again…. HA! I can only hope that the Rangers start tanking cuz if they do, the shizz will hit the fan. I still don’t see how this little relationship can end well, just remember to enjoy it because this is probably Avery’s last shot in the NHL. Fantasy wise, Avery ain’t getting near enough minutes to be rosterable in any league. Just keep your ears peeled for his next ridiculous statement…
Joffrey Lupul – LW/RW (Tor): Yes the hat trick was going to be the lead, then I remembered I hate Joffrey Lupul. Let me make this clear: His value will never be higher than it is right now.
Tim Connolly – C (Tor): T.C. is a bonafide Waiver Wire All Star and right now he’s producing (mainly on Lupul’s line) but once Lupul goes cold so will C

To the joy of Sean Avery supporters everywhere, the enigmatic winger is back with the New York Rangers. The Blueshirts put Avery on re-entry waivers at the beginning of the week only to watch Avery go unclaimed by the rest of the National Hockey League. Avery is eligible to play in Thursday’s game against the [...]
I will bring whatever it is that is asked of me at this point. I think my game is pretty self-explanatory as far as what it is and where it comes from, and how it happens. Listen, we are all here because we want to play for the Rangers. I love this team. I want [...]
via Larry Brooks of the NY Post, The stage is set for Sean Avery’s return to the Rangers this afternoon via re-entry, but The Post has been told Islanders’ general manager Garth Snow has been coy concerning the possibility of claiming the winger on waivers.
It’s a long shot, given the combination of Avery’s stated desire of playing only for the Rangers and the enemies he...
… in all honesty there is no reason to change the lineup after the way they played against San Jose and even Sean Avery knows that. I would rather have a fresh Avery in against a smaller, faster Montreal team than against Anaheim on Thursday.
Sean Avery cleared re-entry waivers on Tuesday and might be back in the New York Rangers' lineup Thursday night.

The Rangers tweet that John Tortorella confirms Sean Avery will get his first start of the season tomorrow vs. the Canadiens....ok Sean, we chanted, we brought banners, we begged and even pleaded. Now here's your chance. Don't F it up.Meanwhile, Wojtek Wolski will be getting an MRI on his groin and is out tomorrow.Steve Zipay reports that Mike Rupp will have arthroscopic...
RANGERS FANS who brought signs and chanted for the return of Sean Avery will get what they wished for Saturday night.
We all put our pants on one leg at a time right? Sure. But what about the rest of the process? For New York Ranger Sean Avery, it’s a very, very slow one, at least for the purposes of his “The Way I Dress” video. He’s the latest to appear in the series, which is featured on Mr. Porter’s Journal. Mr. Porter is a luxury-goods website and the men’s version of popular Net...
For all the hullaballoo about Sean Avery descending to the AHL, the Connecticut Whale didn't even get a single home game with him on the roster before he was brought back to the New York Rangers through re-entry waivers. Which has to be the most depressing thing to happen to Hartford since ... well, we simply don't have the time ...

Sean Avery skated with the Rangers on Wednesday but won’t play in Thursday’s game against Anaheim at Madison Square Garden.
Sean Avery practiced with the Blueshirts Wednesday but the noted agitator will not be in the lineup Thursday night against Anaheim.
So Mike Rupp’s aching left knee will require an arthroscopy next week and Wojtek Wolski’s recurring groin problem required an MRI yesterday afternoon, both these bits of news combining to mean coach John Tortorella will be required to dress Sean Avery for tonight’s Garden match against the...
New York Rangers coach John Tortorella didn’t take kindly to San Jose Sharks captain Joe Thornton calling his team “soft” following New York’s 5-2 victory over San Jose on Monday night.
“It surprised me, and I’ve never heard a player say that,” Tortorella told reporters after Tuesday’s practice, according to the New York Daily News. “Joe’s a heck of a player...
John Tortorella did not appreciate Sharks captain Joe Thornton calling the Rangers soft after the Blueshirts defeated San Jose, 5-2, Monday night. Not one bit.
