The Boston Bruins were in the process of destroying the Pittsburgh Penguins during Game 2 when these perfect shots happened. The Bruins had a 3-0 lead with three minutes left in the first period when the Penguins made a goalie change. The change seemed to spark the Penguins and Brandon Sutter went down and fired a ridiculous shot right under the bar past Tuukka Rask. The shot by Sutter couldn’t have gone anywhere but there and it was perfect. The Penguins looked poised to carry some much needed momentum into the intermission, but unfortunately for the Penguins, the momentum shift was quite short. Brad Marchand was set up beautifully and fired this awesome shot right past Marc-Andre Fleury, for his second goal of the night and re-establishing the three goal lead at 4-1. Both shots were absolute snipes and pretty much mirror images of each other.

Sidney Crosby is not known as a physical player. In fact, he’s the exact opposite; he’s a skilled player who has accrued just 417 penalty minutes in 470 career games. But as the second period of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins came to a close, Crosby [...]
After what seemed like an eternity but in reality was only 8 days, the Penguins returned to the ice of the Consol Energy Center to take on the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Final. Unfortunately, for Penguins fans, the night didn’t go as planned as the Bruins took game one 3 to 0. If nothing, the game proved to show that this series is going to be a long one.
In 2011, Tim Thomas etched his name in NHL lore, playing some of the best hockey of his life to backstop the Bruins to a Stanley Cup championship. Now two seasons later, Tuukka Rask is attempting to do the same.
Through the first 13 games of their respective postseasons, the two goalies’ numbers are strikingly similar. Both posted 9-4 records, and Rask actually held a slight edge...

After a brutal 6-1 loss at the hands of the Boston Bruins, some can say Sidney Crosby played like ass. And what’s a synonym for ass? Butt. And that’s what Crosby was; the butt of a joke.
Unbeknownst to Crosby, members of the Boston media were on a flight piloted by a crew from JetBlue Airlines.
Reports from the plane say that a baby started...
If you're wondering why I did not have any scoring chances posted from the last round, it's a long story. I'll just say that I've had a limited amount of spare time the last few weeks and was not able to post any analysis of the second round. Despite that minor setback, I should be back in full force for the Conference Finals and will provide a closer look at the...
The Bruins hold a two-game series lead over the top-seeded Penguins and are outscoring the Pens 9-1. The B’s are playing arguably their best hockey of the season right now, and entering Game 3 at TD Garden they aren’t taking anything for granted.
The Bruins know all too well what it feels like to be in the position that Pittsburgh is in now, down 2-0 at home in the Eastern Conference...
After a week off from games, the Pittsburgh Penguins have yet to get back to the play that has been expected from this team. Even worse, the Penguins are on down 2-0 against the Boston Bruins in a best of seven Eastern Conference finals match-up that is heading to the TD Garden. On Saturday, the [...]
The song “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis has blown up over the past few months and quite frankly I’m surprised there aren’t more parodies of it. This Boston Bruins fan decided to make a parody and use it as a playoff anthem and call out the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The worst part has to be when he says the line “Chara’s a big ass Ruski,” because Zdeno Chara...

Boston Bruins forward David Krejci scored two goals in game one against the Pittsburgh Penguins and now leads the NHL in points during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This was Krejci's first goal of the game and first of the series. Krejci leads the NHL during the Stanley Cup Playoffs with (7g-12a—19pts).
This was Krejci's second goal of the game.
There were plenty of individual cases of embarrassment for the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night, as they lost to the Bruins 6-1 to dig themselves into an early 2-0 hole in the Eastern Conference Finals. For starters, you had Sydney Crosby turning the puck over to spot the Bruins a lead 28 seconds into the [...]

“Physicality” is often a term used to describe the Boston Bruins and heading into the Eastern Conference Finals, Pittsburgh Penguins’ captain Sidney Crosby recognized that he may be one of the targets that his opponent would want to get physical with.
“ I’m sure whether I broke a jaw or not, I’m sure they will be pretty physical...

When the biggest ovation from the home crowd comes when there is a goalie switch, you know the team played poorly -- very poorly.
When a team drops the first game of the series, you expect to see that team's best game in Game Two. Instead, the Penguins may have played their worst game of the entire season. The Bruins didn't just beat the Penguins in Game Two...
