So what happened? Jordan Staal scored just 44 seconds into the game.  That was the high point for the entire evening. The Pens were undisciplined, taking three minor penalties in the first period.  This did two things - first, it allowed the Flyers to tie the game at 1-1, and (more importantly) it kept the Pens from developing any kind of offensive game.  That was the story for the entirety of the evening.  The Pens simply couldn't get anything going. Videos: Penguins fans not fond of Jagr's return

Jaromir Jagr had a huge game in his return to Pittsburgh with the Philadelphia Flyers. He only scored one goal but had plenty of other opportunities, so many that he said earlier in his career that would have been five goals easily. Well the Penguins faithful didn’t take to kindly to him scoring a goal, one going as far as to flip him off as he skated by. Here’s that video...

Crosby likely to be out for an extended period

It doesn't appear as if Penguins center and captain Sidney Crosby will return to the lineup anytime soon. Crosby continues to do light workouts and still is experiencing some concussion symptoms, coach Dan Bylsma said Wednesday. It was the first update on the team's top player since Crosby spoke publicly Dec. 12, and it means he has not made much if any progress in the interim.

on a cliffside in a blizzard

We're pretty sure we made Max Talbot cry last night so that's the sum achievement of the Penguins against the Flyers this season, aside from a badass play by Malkin and Tyler Kennedy we guess. We (PH Staff) were at the game last night and seeing that moment from Max and the Pittsburgh fans prompted many difficult emotions. Ultimately, we feel okay for tugging heartstrings...

Sidney "Cry Baby" Crosby

Detroit Red Wings fans don't care that Pittsburgh Penguins center/face of the NHL Sidney Crosby is out with post-concussion symptoms.  This Wings fan thought this t-shirt would bring him luck at the craps table at Greektown Casino last night. We didn't stick around to see how it fared.
