Bailey’s Daily: Flyers Get Poehling Back, Rantanen Self-Destructs
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

All the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, highlights, and stories from this past weekend. And Monday.

  • Per Elliotte Friedman, at least one team asked the Flyers about potentially acquiring both Nick Seeler and Sean Walker in a package deal. For the time being though, the Flyers will be happy to keep both. [Report: Team Asks Flyers About Trading for Seeler And Walker]
  • The two defenders were also included in TSN’s first Trade Bait list, with both placing well inside the top-10. Seeler and Walker will both be free agents at the end of this season. [Flyers Defensemen Fill TSN’s First Trade Bait List]
  • Philadelphia got another huge win on Saturday, knocking off the slipping Colorado Avalanche, 5-2. Travis Konecny scored two points for the third consecutive game, and scored his 15th and 16th goals of the season. Carter Hart has been immense in his last three starts, going 3-0-0 with a save percentage of .959. [Flyers Grades: Hart and Konecny Lead the Way vs Avalanche]
  • Ryan Poehling returned to practice on Monday, indicating that he is no longer sick and ready to get back into the Flyers’ lineup.
  • Mikko Rantanen apparently wasn’t too pleased with Ismo Lehkonen’s comments (Artturi Lehkonen’s father). After the Avalanche’s win against the Calgary Flames, Rantanen let it be known. [Colorado Avalanche]
  • The NHL’s annual roster freeze is a little over a week away, and teams might be looking to find a goalie upgrade before then. The Canadiens have a few goalies that some top teams are or might be interested in. [Montreal Canadiens]
  • Jesse Puljujarvi is healthy enough to play again, and the Penguins were willing to take a chance on him. The onus is now on the player to prove that he is indeed an NHLer. [Pittsburgh Penguins]
