The Bakersfield Condors have rounded out their coaching staff for the 2023-24 season.

The team announced on Tuesday that they’ve hired Nate DiCasmirro to serve as an assistant coach under head coach Colin Chaulk.

DiCasmirro will be replacing Josh Green, who left the organization this off-season. Chaulk will be back for his second full season as head coach, while assistant coach Keith McCambridge and goaltending coach Sylvain Rodrigue will also both be returning this season.

DiCamirro signed with the Edmonton Oilers back in 2002 after playing four seasons with St. Cloud State University. He spent three seasons in Edmonton’s system playing with their various AHL affiliates, the Hamilton Bulldogs, Toronto Roadrunners, and Edmonton Road Runners, before leaving to sign with the Detroit Red Wings ahead of the 2005-06 season.

He spent three more seasons playing in the AHL and then made the trip overseas to continue his hockey career playing professionally in Europe. Over the next decade, DiCamirro played in Italy, Sweden, Slovenia, England, and Austria before retiring following the 2018-19 season.

Following the conclusion of his playing career, DiCamirro joined the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL as an assistant coach. Since then, he’s served as an assistant coach for both the Iowa Wild of the AHL and on Austria’s World Junior team.
