Video: Sid, Malkin are Penguin Strangers

Thanks to Benson for sending over his latest. About 2 months ago, we watched as he mashed the Steelers with the Family Matters theme. Now it's the Pens' Sid and Geno as Perfect Strangers. TGIF IS BACK BABY! I can't wait for what goes with Step By Step in the future. Christine Lakin, one of my all-time crushes, needs to be in it as she appears today. I'll gladly make...

Brooks Orpik Not Surprised Jagr Came To Philly

Brooks Orpik, Penguins defenseman, spoke to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and had some interesting things to say about Jaromir Jagr. "With that guy, you never know," defenseman Brooks Orpik said. "With his personality, I wasn't shocked that he went to Philly." What? Can someone please tell me what that means? Is that a shot at Philly or Jagr? Or both?

Claude Giroux Avoids Evgeni Malkin’s Elbow Thanks to Superhuman Reflexes

The Philadelphia Flyers tangled with the Sidney Crosby-less Pittsburgh Penguins last night, winning 3-2, which not only vaulted them past Pittsburgh to first place in the Atlantic Division, but also left them atop the Eastern Conference.  The Flyers success has had a lot to do with the emergence of center Claude Giroux, who’s leading the NHL in scoring, and apparently has the...

Staal 'day to day' with lower-body injury

Center Jordan Staal missed Saturday's game against the New York Islanders with what the team called a "lower-body injury." The injury is not believed to be serious.

Inconsistent - Flyers 3, Penguins 2

So what happened? Crosby or no Crosby - the Pens have had two good indications over the past two games that they have some work to do if they want to be considered one of the top teams in the East. The Pens started out well for the first few shifts, and then the wheels fell off of the wagon.  By the time the wagon was repaired, the Pens were down 3-0 and had a hole to...

Penguins-Islanders Preview

The New York Islanders had the misfortune of being front and center for Sidney Crosby's first game back, but the Pittsburgh Penguins superstar won't be on the ice for Saturday's rematch on Long Island. Given the Islanders' dismal recent history against Pittsburgh, Crosby's absence might not matter. The Penguins look for a fifth straight victory and 19th in 23...
