Skating in the Finnish Elite League during the lockout in October 2012, the winger's HIFK Helsinki squad prepared to face off against Ilves Tampere. Bergenheim's teammates kept raving about this kid, Aleksander Barkov. ''I hadn't heard of him before that,'' Bergenheim said. ''People told me about him and I thought, 'Wow, it's going to be fun to see this guy play.' And then when I saw him, I thought, 'This guy can't be 17 years old.' He might have even been (16).''
