Jordan Staal may have had little impact in his first game against his former team, but the Carolina Hurricanes made mince-meat out of the Pittsburgh Penguins, winning 4-1, Thursday night.Jordan's brother, Eric Staal, tallied a goal and two assists, Jiri Tlusty added two goals, and Cam Ward made 26 saves. The game was built up as a homecoming for Brandon Sutter, as well.  The 24 year old centerman was traded to Pittsburgh during last year's draft, along with defensive prospect Brian Dumoulin and the eighth overall pick, later used to draft Derek Pouliot.  In exchance, Carolina received Jordan Staal who was getting married when the trade happened.  In the end, neither player showed up on the stat sheet, with Sutter having the closest opportunity in the second period hitting the far goal post on a wrist shot.Chris Kunitz scored his ninth goal of the season 13:14 into the first period.  The Penguins forced a turnover at their own blue line and came back with a 4 on 3 rush.  Sidney Crosby skated down the far boards and dished a perfect cross-ice pass to Kunitz for the one timer. The Penguins were looking to take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, but a goal buy Eric Staal with 25 seconds remaining in the first period, knotted the score at one a piece.  Alex Semin's turnaround shot from the high slot was tipped in by Staal, parked to the right of Marc-Andre Fleury. The Hurricanes would build off the momentum, scoring the next three goals, all in the second period.  Eric Staal's wraparound attempt was stopped by Fleury, but the goaltender lost track of the puck and Jiri Tlusty pounded on the rebound before Matt Niskanen could clear the crease.Just 1:46 later, Jeff Skinner got in on the action scoring his eighth of the season as well.  Once again, the Hurricanes generated a goal from behind the net.  Patrick Dwyer made a nifty backhand pass to Skinner in the slot whose wrist shot beat Fleury over his right shoulder.Tlusty would add his second goal of the net in the dying seconds of the second period to, essentially, put the nail in the coffin for Pittsburgh.  Eric Staal won a puck battle in the corner against Robert Bortuzzo.  Semin took the puck from Staal and went around the back of the net before finding Tlusty in the low slot, just feet from the net.The Penguins attempted to mount a second consecutive three goal comeback, but were denied by Carolina's excellent defense and goaltending.  Sidney Crosby had a chance to the left of the net in front but Cam Ward quickly slid his left pad over to deny the scoring chance. The Penguins have scored first in all but one of their road games this season.Pittsburgh failed to score a power play goal for the first time since February 2nd against the New Jersey Devils (12 games).Paul Martin did not play for most of the third injury due to an undisclosed injury, per Dan BylsmaThree StarsEric StaalJiri TlustyCam Ward

Talk about a range of emotions. "Yeah, Id say it's...
