The Dallas Stars got their five-game homestand off on the right foot with a 5-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche at the American Airlines Center. In so doing, the Stars (15-13-3) pulled into eighth place in the Western Conference playoff race. Dallas also partially avenged their collapse against Colorado in Wednesday night's match in Denver.
