As tired as we may be of hearing about Dustin Byfuglien, the Blackhawks haven’t really had a guy that could fill a presence like that in the lineup.
The Hawks have really lacked that type of size since he was traded in the summer of 2010, and even with the sandpaper added to the lineup this summer, there still isn’t that type of player that the team can just plant in...

Of the Hawks recent skid, the most noticeable wart has been their second defensive pairing. During these three games, and probably a little longer than that, Nick Leddy and Niklas Hjalmarsson have been just plain awful.
Leddy's getting most of the headlines about it, which isn't fair because part of his struggles can be attributed to Hammer being completely non-existent...
