Chicago Blackhawks News — Brandon Saad and Andrew Shaw have been grinding their way into Chicago Blackhawks fan’s hearts the last two seasons and you might like them even more after this. Both players make the Top 10 in player values for giving “the best bang for their puck” in a graph recently released by Hockey Night in Canada. The Blackhawks get the most out of Saad and Shaw even though they are on the lower end of the team’s pay scale. It’s no wonder Chicago loves these two. Price Per Point Comparison After This Season Brandon Saad is signed through next season at the same salary, so you can expect him to be looking to get paid if his performance stays at this level. Shaw on the other hand is signed through 2015-2016, his salary jumps to $1.5 million next season and $2.5 million in the final season. Points aside, Saad and Shaw also do much more for the Blackhawks than what shows up in the stat sheets. These two play solid defense and sacrifice their bodies for this low pay so you can only imagine how hard they’ll be working with a higher salary to keep. Saad at 21-years-old and Shaw at 22 have long prosperous careers ahead of them if they can keep up the paces they have been on. ———- Sources: Hockey Night in Canada; NHL Numbers Author informationMarc-Louis PaprzycaFeatured Columnist at Sports MockeryChicago made.
