Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews' possible return to the lineup has been stalled by his concussion.
Toews appeared on the verge of rejoining the Blackhawks after skating for four straight days, but he has skated only once in the past four days.
The 23-year-old center did not accompany the team for its road game against the Dallas Stars on Friday night.
It will be the 12th consecutive game missed by Toews, who was injured in a game against St. Louis on Feb. 19.
Toews acknowledged that he had played a couple of games with concussion symptoms before taking himself out of the lineup.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 NHL draft, Toews has 29 goals and 28 assists in 59 games.
