Chicago Blackhawks agitator Dan Carcillo has been suspended for two games following his hit on Carolina defenseman Joni Pitkanen during Friday's 3-0 loss to the Hurricanes.Carcillo, who is a multiple offender, will sit out Saturday's home contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets and Monday's game versus the Nasvhille Predators. The suspension is the fifth of Carcillo's career and second this season.
"I watched the play," Quenneville told ESPN Chicago. "You can look at the play. He's off-balance before there is contact in my eyes. That's how I saw it. Whether he touched him or not, he was going down."
There was no on-ice penalty for the play and Pitkanen didn't miss a shift.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Dan Carcillo was suspended for two games by the NHL on Saturday due to an illegal check on Hurricanes defenseman Joni Pitkanen the previous night in Carolina.
