Chicago Blackhawks stud defenseman Duncan Keith is "optimistic" that he'll return for Tuesday's road game against the Central Division-rival St. Louis Blues.
The 2010 Norris Trophy winner has missed three straight games after suffering a hand injury during a 4-3 overtime win over the Nashville Predators on Oct. 31.
"Things are definitely better than I expected," Keith told the Chicago Tribune. "It's gotten a lot better. (Monday's) practice was good and I'm optimistic (Tuesday) that I can hopefully see what I can do."
Keith, who has played in every game over the last two seasons, has collected six assists and two penalty minutes this season.
