With a few days off before they hit the ice for the NHL’s Game of the Week against the Washington Capitals on Sunday, the Chicago Blackhawks will make a brief stop at the White House on Friday. The trip to the White House is a tradition for every team throughout sports that wins their respective title. The Hawks will be without many members of their 2010 Stanley Cup-winning team, but will have a pair of guys from the squad joining them. With a  heavy slate of NHL action, many of Chicago’s big contributors from their run, including Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien, will not be able to attend. However, both Brent Sopel and Cristobal Huet will be there to join their former teammates. Sopel was traded to the Thrashers in the deal that sent Byfuglien and Ben Eager down south, but now resides in Montreal, after being shipped to the Habs.
