The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated right wing Jared Boll from the injured reserve list.
Boll has been sidelined for the season's first 14 games with a broken thumb, which he hurt during the preseason.
The 25-year-old Boll notched a career-high seven goals with five assists last season. He also had 182 penalty minutes, seventh-most in the NHL.
The Blue Jackets enter Thursday's play with the league's worst record at 2-11-1.
