Blue Jackets announcer botches goal call

Living in Columbus, I can tell you one thing... it's not easy being a Blue Jackets fan. The team has made a grand total of one appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs since their inception in 2000. One! And everyone makes the playoffs in hockey! In that playoff appearance in 2009, the Blue Jackets were even swept by the Detroit Red Wings. The Jackets have never even finished...

Bruins' Meeting With Blue Jackets Might Be Just What Doctor Ordered for Ailing Team

The Columbus Blue Jackets are the worst team in the NHL on paper, so the Bruins might be licking their chops at a chance to break out of their mini-slump and reclaim their winning ways. Then again, games aren't played on paper. They're played on ice. And a deeper look at the stats might reveal a little more cause for concern that you might expect. A certain Bruins goaltender...

Ty Anderson: B's pull off comeback in Columbus, lose Chara to scary looking knee injury

Riding into Columbus with a two-game losing streak, two first period tallies from the NHL's worst team weren't what Tim Thomas and the Boston Bruins were looking for. Falling into an early 2-0 hole behind goals from Rick Nash and Jeff Carter, the slumping B's seemed to simply flip the switch. As easy as it appeared to be shut off over this skid. Knotting it up against...

Ty Anderson: If a Bruin falls in Columbus, does it make a sound?

There's a hockey game tonight. Not sure if you've heard about it, because I sure as hell haven't heard much about it. But with 12 games on the NHL docket tonight, it's no wonder that a meeting between the Boston Bruins and league-worst Columbus Blue Jackets has gone under the radar. Yet, there's no doubts about this one being a must-win for the suddenly slumping...

VOTE: Which injury is more gruesome?

By Alexander Monaghan President  In the NHL, injuries are simply a part of the game. Yesterday, the injuries piled up with such notable names as Zdeno Chara, Ilya Bryzgalov and Claude Giroux hitting the injured list. However, the two injuries we want to focus on were especially gruesome and thanks to Twitter we have screencaps of the proof. Option #1: Derek Dorsett lower left leg...
