St. Louis Blues center Jason Arnott will be sidelined seven days after undergoing surgery to remove a cataract in his right eye Wednesday.
The estimated time of recovery will have Arnott back in time for the Blues' season opener against Nashville on Oct. 8.
The 36-year-old Arnott signed a one-year contract with St. Louis in July.
Arnott split last season between the Nashville Predators and New Jersey Devils, scoring 17 goals and adding 14 assists in 73 games.
