"We are excited to lock-up T.J. for five years," said Armstrong. "He had his best year as a pro last season and we look forward to him continuing to contribute as one of our core players." Oshie, 25, dressed in 80 games this past season, tying for the overall team lead with 54 points, tying for third in goals with 19, tying for second in assists with 35 and ranking second among Blues forwards with 19:31 of ice time per game, all of which were career highs. The 511, 194-pound forward has spent each of his four career National Hockey League (NHL) seasons with St. Louis, totaling 175 points including 63 goals and 112 assists to go along with 131 penalty minutes in 262 games. The Everett, Washington native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round, 24th overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

St. Louis Blue fans can rest easy, now that the Blue have signed one of their leading scorer former Fighting Sioux forward T.J. Oshie to a new five year deal.
