ST. LOUIS St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has named Brad Shaw Associate Coach while also adding Gary Agnew to the staff as an Assistant Coach along with Ray Bennett. All three coaches received multi-year contracts with the team.
"We are pleased to have both Brad and Ray back and excited to add Gary to our coaching staff," said Armstrong. "They are all extremely dedicated and knowledgeable coaches that together will give our team an excellent support system going forward."
Shaw will be entering his seventh season with the Blues after being named an assistant coach on July 11, 2006. He joined the Blues from the New York Islanders organization where he served as an interim head coach and assistant coach.
Agnew joins the Blues from the Ontario Hockey Leagues (OHL) Oshawa Generals where he was named head coach on Nov. 7, 2011. Prior to Oshawa, Agnew spent four seasons (2006-2010) with the Columbus Blue Jackets as an...
