ST. LOUIS St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has named Brad Shaw Associate Coach while also adding Gary Agnew to the staff as an Assistant Coach along with Ray Bennett. All three coaches received multi-year contracts with the team. "We are pleased to have both Brad and Ray back and excited to add Gary to our coaching staff," said Armstrong. "They are all extremely dedicated and knowledgeable coaches that together will give our team an excellent support system going forward." Shaw will be entering his seventh season with the Blues after being named an assistant coach on July 11, 2006. He joined the Blues from the New York Islanders organization where he served as an interim head coach and assistant coach. Agnew joins the Blues from the Ontario Hockey Leagues (OHL) Oshawa Generals where he was named head coach on Nov. 7, 2011. Prior to Oshawa, Agnew spent four seasons (2006-2010) with the Columbus Blue Jackets as an assistant coach to Ken Hitchcock including a brief stint as interim head coach prior to Hitchcocks hiring in 2006. Agnew also served as head coach of the Blue Jackets American Hockey League affiliate (AHL), Syracuse Crunch from 2000-2006 and became the winningest coach in club history leading them to a 200-177-83 (.545) mark in 480 games. Bennett will be entering his sixth full season with the Blues after being named an assistant coach on December 13, 2006. He joined the Blues from the Los Angeles Kings organization where he spent seven seasons as an assistant coach.

Restricted free agent forward Chris Stewart signed a one-year contract reportedly worth $3 million with the St. Louis Blues, NHL.com reported Thursday. Stewart, 24, had 15 goals and 15 assists in 79 games this season for the Blues. He had scored 28 goals in each of the prior two seasons.
