When defenseman Roman Josi was called up from AHL Milwaukee on Nov. 25, Jonathon Blum was “pumped” to have a close friend join him in Nashville.“He texted me and I was happy for him,” Blum said. “I knew there was a good chance I’d be playing with him, too, which is cool because we’ve been so close.”The friendship between Blum, 22, and Josi, 21, goes back to last year when they played together in Milwaukee. They were paired together on the Admirals’ blue line and lived in the same apartment building.“We played together in Milwaukee and have kind of been reliving those days,” said Blum, who has been with the Predators since last February. “We just have that chemistry together by playing for Milwaukee and being really close friends off the ice, and I think that shows on the ice.”Blum and Josi have hung out a lot over the last year or so, going to movies and eating dinners together.
