A.B. 42 years ago today, May 10th, Bobby Orr scored the most legendary goal in Boston Bruins & NHL history. At the 40 second mark in the first overtime period, Orr received a give-and-go from Derek Sanderson and scored to win the 1970 Stanley Cup.
42 years later Bruins fans still cherish the gravity defying goal as if it happened yesterday. With pictures, t shirts, bumper sticks & other paraphernalia, it’s safe to say that my kids’ kids will still be talking about #4, Bobby Orr’s miraculous goal.
