You read that right, the Boston Bruins scored on the power play... Yeah, who would believe it? So far this season, the Boston Bruins are 6/46 (.13) on the power play and actually scored the go ahead goal on the power play goal tonight by forward Brad Marchand. That's Marchand's eight goal of the season. The Little Ball of Hate also drew the penalty that lead to the play in question as well. The Boston Bruins have now scored two power play goals in a row. There is some question, on whether the Bruins forward Marchand dove on this play, looking at the video, I don't see any sign of embellishment.

Brad Marchand Completes ‘Road Trip Rally’ as Bruins Come Back Against Jets (Video)

Despite missing out on some chances early, the Bruins held on in the game’s frantic final seconds to escape with two points. Brad Marchand kept up...

Brad Marchand’s Power-Play Goal Clinches Win for Bruins in Winnipeg (Video)

The Winnipeg Jets have just 11 points this season, but that’s not evident in the way they play against the Bruins. Sunday’s matchup was another tight battle, with Brad Marchand‘s power-play goal just 36 seconds into the third period proving to be the game-winner in a 3-2 Boston victory. Marchand navigated through the Winnipeg defense and employed a nifty backhand shot to send...

As the Bruins continue to take it to the league’s best competition on the ice, they still find time to give back to communities off the ice. A number of Bruins, including head coach Claude Julien, center Tyler Seguin and rookie defenseman Dougie Hamilton, took a trip down to Newtown, Conn., on Monday. The B’s payed their respects to the families and children of Newtown...

Dougie Hamilton’s Early NHL Success Comes as No Surprise to Those Who Watched Him Grow

Dougie Hamilton‘s skill and talent level have been easy to see through the first quarter of his first NHL season. Occasional glimpses of that are to be expected of a first-round draft pick who many pegged as a fixture on the Bruins’ blue line for years to come. However, it is a bit surprising that the 19-year-old has been so effective already. He’s been trusted to play important...

Bruins Players Play Street Hockey With Kids, Sign Autographs During Trip to Newtown, Conn. (Video)

The Bruins were able to provide a day to remember for a community that has withstood such incredible hardship over the past few months. Head coach Claude Julien and a number of B’s players spent Monday in Newtown, Conn., the site of December’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Children and families from the community were able to participate in a street hockey clinic...

Shawn Thornton’s Penalty Shot Highlights Bruins’ Short History With Jets

Bruins fans are accustomed to seeing Shawn Thornton settling things on the ice with his fists, but many forget that he’s capable of pulling some nifty offensive maneuvers as well. That was on display in a game between the B’s and Winnipeg Jets back on Jan. 10, 2012, when the Boston brawler used some fancy stickwork to beat Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec on a penalty shot. But don’t...

Bruins Letting Good Chances Slip Away Again After Getting Burned for It Against Sabres (Video)

The Bruins are getting plenty of good chances against the Winnipeg Jets — now, it’s just up to the B’s to start capitalizing on them. Once again, Boston seems the better team early on, but the scoreboard has yet to reflect that. After seeing a lead slip away against the Sabres that could have been insurmountable, the Bruins would do well to start taking advantage of the chances...

Late Second-Period Goal Key in ‘Desperation’ Game for Bruins (Video)

Those who chose to take an early intermission break during Sunday’s Bruins-Jets game were sorely mistaken. Evander Kane scored to give Winnipeg a 2-1 lead with 27 seconds remaining in the second period, but the action didn’t cease there. Johnny Boychuk responded for Boston, sending a slap shot that was tipped by teammate Daniel Paille past Ondrej Pavelec with just 1.5 seconds...

No Looch against Jets

If the Boston Bruins want to break their two-game losing streak they'll have to do it with out MIlan Lucic. After practice today Claude Julien said Looch won't be available for tomorrow's game against the Winnipeg Jets due to personal reasons. He's returning to Boston right away, No Milan Lucic vs. WPG. Has returned to Boston for personal reason. — Fluto...

It’s Time To “Pump The Brakes” On The Demise Of Tyler Seguin

Sure, it’s frustrating. Sure, it’s disappointing. Sure, “The Kid” has not come out of the gate gangbusters like we all hoped. But Bruins nation it’s time to “pump the  brakes” on Tyler Seguin’s demise. He is NOT Rob Cimetta or Shayne Stevenson (you may have to Google them if you are younger than 30). Have FAITH in him…. I have developed a “Bromance” with #19...

RECAP: Boston Went America All Over Winnipeg's Asses. BRUINS WIN!

Whoa boy. Another win that was less than pretty. But every two points counts this season, so they don't have to be works of art. Still it'd be nice to see the Bs blow a ****** team out like the Winnipeg Jets once in a while. Bruins did a pretty good job defensively today, keeping the shot count down (24 shots) and the Jets scoring chances to a minimum. Well, that was...
