On Independence Day, the Bruins made a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Stars, sending Tyler Seguin, Rich Peverley, and minor league defenseman Ryan Button to the Stars in exchange for Loui Eriksson, Joe Morrow, and two forward prospects in Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser.
The trade comes after almost a week of rumors and speculation surrounding the young forward. The 21 year old disappointed in his third year in the NHL, but that wasn’t the only factor in dealing him. Seguin’s off ice issues, such as immaturity, lack of professionalism, and excessive partying, seem to have made the Bruins grow tired of him and his act.
In exchange, the Bruins receive one of the most underrated players in all of the NHL in Loui Eriksson.
