When I last looked at the AHL scoring race, Chris Bourque of the Hershey Bears (Washington Capitals affiliate) had caught up to teammate Keith Aucoin to tie atop the AHL scoring race.  Aucoin had led the AHL in scoring most of the season but has been up in the NHL for the month of February.  Aucoin got his first two NHL points this season last night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, so it isn’t clear if he is returning to the AHL or not.  In the meantime Chris Bourque has taken a lead in the AHL scoring race.  Bourque has 76 points in his 55 games played.  He leaves behind Aucoin in second place with 70 points in his 43 games played.  It looks like Bourque will be the AHL scoring leader this season. Hershey is a high scoring AHL team (second in goals for).  They have dropped from first in goals scored while Aucoin has been in the NHL.  As this has happened, Hershey has dropped out of the race for first overall.
