Forward Drayson Bowman will be making his NHL debut tonight against the Thrashers, and will be on Rod Brind'Amour's line opposite Tom Kostopoulos. "I'm trying not to think too much — I suppose that's normal," Bowman said today of his first game. "I'm excited, a little nervous. It feels good to be here, though. "You only get one of these, no matter how long you play. It just want to enjoy it, take in the experience and just be myself and play my game." Bowman's first professional year has been stressful. The Canes' third-round draft pick in 2007, he had knee surgery and a punctured lung, injuries that he said sidelined him for five weeks. But he played well enough since his return in Albany (AHL) to earn his first recall. "It was a little setback there but I'm feeling good now," he said. "I struggled coming back for a bit, struggled to get back to the level I was playing before my injury." ...
