The Bruins enjoyed a well-deserved day off Sunday, but they were back to work on Monday at Ristuccia, where they hit the practice ice in Wilmington. They did so without a couple of big names. Most notable was the absence of Brad Marchand. The agitating forward missed practice just a couple of days after leaving Boston’s game with the Maple Leafs. He took a nasty-looking spill into the boards Saturday night that left him hurting. Marchand went to the B’s room before actually returning to the ice. However, he spent the end of the second period on the bench, and he never returned for the third period. Gregory Campbell, who skated in Marchand’s spot alongside Patrice Bergeron and Tyler Seguin on Saturday night, was on that line at practice Monday. Bruins head coach Claude Julien doesn’t seem too worried, though, as he told reporters that Marchand was “progressing very well,” according to the team’s Twitter feed. There was some good news on the injury front for the Bruins, too. Daniel Paille returned to the ice Monday after missing Saturday’s game in Toronto. The forward missed the game with an upper-body injury after taking a stick up high against the Sabres on Thursday night. David Krejci didn’t practice Monday, as he was given a maintenance day.
