Here, for the second time today, is the teaser for HBO's much-anticipated 24/7 Flyers Rangers, which should serve to get you appropriately excited for program. It's worth a revisit, especially in light of the delicious back-and-f0rth it has spawned between Jody Shelley and Brandon Dubinsky.
I direct your attention specifically to Shelley's standout moment at the six-minute mark, in which he says the following of the New York Rangers' centre:
Brandon Dubinsky plays like a little weasel. He's a guy you like to get at.
One assumes that Shelley isn't using weasel in a complimentary sense, as I've never known anyone to. It's a shame. The weasel's cleverness is admirable.
Anyway. It would appear that Brandon Dubinsky has taken offense to Shelley's scouting report, as he didn't exactly mince words when asked about the teaser after practice Monday afternoon. From the NY Daily News:
"First of all, if I was him, I'd keep my mouth shut if I...

It appears Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger has been suffering from more than a virus. The Flyers announced Monday that the towering blue liner will miss the next four weeks after undergoing left knee surgery Tuesday. The team had said Pronger was dealing with a virus, but did not mention that he was also trying to recover from an injured knee.
"The procedure will...
The appeal to fans of HBO’s 24/7 that leads up to NHL Winter Classic is the
behind the scenes access it gives them to the teams and players they
follow. Beyond practices and the locker
room access there can be a more candid conversation by the players about what
they think about other people in the league.
That side of it is out in full force in the past week as Flyer...
In their past two wins against the Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers, the New York Rangers arguably played their best hockey of the season; better than they did during their seven-game winning streak two weeks ago. Don't get me wrong, there were times when they looked very sharp throughout that streak, but they weren't playing to their potential.
In a very well...

When the Rangers were reeling off 7 wins in a row, the debbie downers were constantly on the team about beating up on inferior teams. How the Rangers true test would be the 3 games we just played against the Caps, the Flyers, and the Penguins. Tough to do much better than the Rangers just did. 3 games, 3 wins, 0 points gained by the opposition. Just imagine if this club didn’t...
