When I first watched this video, I didn't catch Drew Doughty sucker punching Brandon Dubinsky in the back of the head, so in my opinion, it's the right decision by the NHL.
Puck-Rakers --- The NHL today has rescinded a match penalty given to Blue Jackets center Brandon Dubinsky after the final buzzer of Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings in Staples Center. Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen was informed of the decision this morning.

from Aaron Portzline of Puck-Rakers,
There were scrums all over the ice, including one at the final buzzer that resulted in Blue Jackets center Brandon Dubinsky being assessed a match penalty. Dubinsky is suspended until further notice from the league, according to NHL policy.
At the end of the game, as dance partners began to pair up, Dubinsky came up from behind on Kings...

NO SHAKE FOR YOU
Legendary Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda snubbed Blue Jackets alternate captain Jack Johnson on a handshake and explained why.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have retained defenseman David Savard on emergency recall, 12 hours after sending him to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass. He had been called up on Tuesday but did not play.

from Dan Rosen of NHL.com,
"I was asked the question when I first got there, 'How do you compare this to what you went through in St. Louis?'" Davidson, the Blue Jackets' first-year president of hockey operations, told NHL.com. "I said, 'I think it's a little different because this team has a better defense.' You can see the strength of...
Jack Johnson had a tough night last night. In his first game back at Staples Center since being traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets, Johnson was relentlessly booed by Kings fans, punched in the face by former teammates (I’m looking at you Jarret Stoll), and 100% ignored by Dodgers legend Tommy Lasorda during the ceremonial puck drop. Lasorda has either completely lost vision on...
And now the wait begins.
Having just finished a stretch that had them playing five games in seven days in four different time zones (thank you, NHL lockout), the Columbus Blue Jackets now find themselves in the position of watching the NHL scoreboard. After the loss to Los Angeles Thursday night at the Staples Center, the Blue Jackets dont play until Sunday, when the six-game road...
The Columbus Blue Jackets took up residence in the eighth spot in the Western Conference when Fedor Tyutin scored 2:19 into overtime to defeat the Anaheim Ducks 3-2. Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves to secure the win.
SPIN: Columbus has gone 16-4-5 since a 5-12-2 mark they had on Feburary 25th so they’ve been able to resurrect their season. Bobrovsky continues to be a sleeper candidate...
Thursday night’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets was a big one for the Los Angeles Kings. It was Dodger Pride Night so they wore special uniforms in warm ups, Legendary manager Tommy Lasorda dropped a ceremonial puck, and even Wil Wheaton ran the team’s Twitter account (though this is unrelated to Dodger Pride Night).
I have to feel a little bad for Jack Johnson here...
