LOS ANGELES, CA - OCTOBER 25: Derick Brassard #16 and Kris Russell #10 of the Columbus Blue Jackets rush against the Los Angeles Kings during the game at the Staples Center on October 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)
Not only did Derick Brassard have a ridiculous saucer pass to Dan Girardi to setup the overtime winner, he almost jumped over the boards when he celebrated... Here's Brassard after the game (via Blueshirts United)... “The atmosphere was awesome. Just to see our fans there like that was incredible. And the game was physical, fast, high-pace all night long. I've never played in a game like this before. It was unreal.” ...man, you've got to love that enthusiasm. That's exactly what Lundqvist was talking about when he described the different vibe in the Rangers locker room since the trade deadline. ...playing in Columbus, I'm assuming almost every game Brassard and Moore played in was void of any kind of real intensity. They must absolutely be relishing every minute of being a Ranger right now. And it looks like it's rubbing off on the rest of the team. And the fans for that matter. This is easily the most fired up I've been about the Rangers all year. ...Dorsett must be chomping at the bit to get back on the ice after watching a game like that. Here's Brassard's pass...
