Well, that didn't take long.
The Flyers, who are off to an abysmal 0-3 start to the season, will be awaiting some possible bad news later this afternoon.
Forward Brayden Schenn will be meeting with head NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan today at 1:30 to review a hit on New Jersey Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov.
The hit, which happened near the midway point in the second period of last night's 3-0 loss to Martin Brodeur and the Devils, appeared to be clean at full speed. Schenn didn't make contact with the head of Volchenkov, and there was no penalty called on the play.
However, when you watch a replay in slower motion, it looks like Schenn may have left his feet on the hit, which the league has been cracking down on over the past few seasons.
