I originally thought that Brenden Morrow would play the 2nd line. I guess that is not the case because Brenden Morrow is now on the Dallas Stars first line at left wing. Morrow is a power forward who can generate 50+ points a season.
Morrow should generate more scoring opportunities with most of the attention being focused on Loui Eriksson and Mike Ribeiro. It would not be unrealistic by any means if Morrow generated 63 points during the regular season this year.
Morrow has never been a big time goal scorer getting a career high 74 points during the 2007-2008 regular season.
Morrow should have an impact as the captain of the Dallas Stars, but it is hard to tell where he stacks up. There is no doubt in my mind that Brenden Morrow is a top 20 left winger in the NHL with his leadership over the years and what he brings to the table as a role model around the Dallas community.
