Yesterday we cited a rumor that Dallas Stars captain and left winger Brenden Morrow could be involved in trade discussions and thatthe Rangers might be one team to take a look. Morrow had previously played on Brad Richards' wing when Brad was a member of the Dallas organization. But if you believe Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk, then Brenden Morrow is not going to be moved anywhere... at least during the offseason.“We had a good talk the other day, and I told him I very much believe there’s a place for him on this team.” With the additions of wingers Jaromir Jagr and Ray Whitney, it was thought that Morrow, falling down the depth charts, could be the odd man out. Niewendyk seems to believe that the team's captain could fit in well on the third line while still contributing on the powerplay. Morrow has a No-Trade Clause but admitted that he would waive it if the Stars approached him about it. But right now he plans on sticking with the Stars.  It's unfortunate news for the Rangers for a few...
