Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that when the Devils Eric Boulton was fined $2,500 for his slash on Mike Rupp Tuesday night, he was told that the unpenalized infraction broke the Ranger tough guy's thumb.Rupp, who played just six minutes last night in Buffalo, admitted to Gross that his thumb was "banged up" and that today's off-day would be a good one for him, but did not say his thumb was broken....injuries have really led to an up and down first season with the Rangers for Rupp. Assuming Deveaux would be called up if Rupp's thumb is in fact broke.Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at nyrfan94@yahoo.com.
