Jagr celebrates withline-mates after scoring
The Bruins continued their early April success to the tune of 1-0 shutout over the 8th place New Jersey Devils. Jaromir Jagr scored the only goal for the Bruins off a skate tip from a Brad Marchand pass, and Tuukka Rask finished with 40 saves, making a number of huge ones to keep the game in check.
The game had a lot of hype leading into it, as fans and the media were psyched over the idea of Jaromir Jagr getting his first game action in a Bruins jersey. Also, newly claimed forward Kaspars Daugavins got his first Bruins game action as well.
The Bruins looked sloppy to start the game, as the Devils dominated play in the Bruins zone for the majority of the first period. As the second period began the Bruins shifted the pressure onto the offensive zone, creating a number of opportunities and the only goal of the game 1:20 in as Brad Marchand fed a pass in front off of a streaking Jagr's skate and past Devils goalie Martin Brodeur.
