It's hard to see a player be out for an extended period of time for any reason, but the story of Marc Savard is especially painful. Concussed on a nasty hit by Matt Cooke on March 7th, 2010, and further concussed by Matt Hunwick the following January, Savard has hit roadblock after roadblock in his attempts to come back to the NHL. Monday over Twitter, Savard shared some of his personal thoughts. Image via PucturePush.com     I tried to workout today with my trainer I felt like crap but I need to do it #battle — marc savard (@MSavvy91) October 22, 2012     For the fans that keep asking there is no comeback in the foreseeable future I miss the game it has given me everything I have today — marc savard (@MSavvy91) October 22, 2012     I do in fact hope there is still a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel to play but that rest on the doctor shoulders so far #nochance — marc savard (@MSavvy91) October 22, 2012   It must be cold comfort for Savard to continue to draw a paycheck while his non-injured teammates have nothing. No amount of money can give Savard his livlihood back, and apparently no amount of medical care is helping him rebound from his concussion. Concussions are tricky things; there is no way to determine how longe one will last, or what the side effects of it will be. Savard has to just take things day by day, which might be the most excruciating part of all. [follow]
